Justice can be hard, which is more than I can say for those post-granny rapists. Whether Granny knew right from wrong I cannot say, but apparently she knew right from left. Her defense might be that she had a co*keyed view of justice.

I do believe in the power of forgiveness to set one free from being a prisoner of hate for the rest of one's life.

However, I'm exhausted today from travelling yesterday and my emotional reserve is low. In my mind what I'm really thinking is that if I were a woman raped twice by a man, I would find it easier to forgive him after I had cut off his dick.

Surely Jesus is somewhere up there. If he can teach men to fish, surely he can teach Mother Teresa to hunt. And according to Sarah Palin's experience, it's easier to hunt from on high.

By the end of the 3rd paragraph I was thinking if I were Brahma, I'd hide divinity in the human heart.

If someone were to ask me if God ever speaks to me, I would say that every time I encounter an experience such as this story, God is speaking to me. I have no fear of a devil trying to mislead me with illusion for I believe that the affirmation in this story reveals a truth, but if over time I begin to misinterpret or pervert or corrupt its meaning, God will provide a new experience to steer me back on course. It has happened time after time. This reflects the nature of my faith.

Did that all come from you? It was a nice little story.

During my son's senior year in high school, I grieved in anticipation of his going off to college across the country where visits would be costly and therefore limited. I knew our lives would never be the same again.

Finally it occurred to me to thank God for having loaned our son to us and to give our son back to God for safe keeping.

That decision brought me a great deal of peace, especially during his one summer home following his freshman year when he often returned home from an evening out after 3:00 a.m. if at all.
